The prophetic passage of Scripture that we are looking at today is Jeremiah 30:18-22.

Our Second Coming quote for today is from John Piper. He said, “The center of Christianity is the Coming of the Son of God into the world as a real Man to destroy the works of the devil and create a new people for His own glory. The very heart of our faith is that He did this by obeying the law of God, dying for the sins of His people, rising victorious over death, ascending to God’s right hand with all His enemies under His ‘feet. The second coming of Christ is the completion of His saving work. If you take it away, the whole fabric of His saving work unravels.”

Breaking Prophecy News; The Winepress of the Wrath of God, Part 8 (The Prophet Daniel’s Report #620)

PROPHECY HEADLINES: Obama: U.S. can expect ISIS to continue to be a threat | N. Korean missile lands in Japanese waters | Islamist coalition breaks Syrian siege of Aleppo

PROPHECY BOOTCAMP: Our topic for today is titled “The Winepress of the Wrath of God (Part 8)” from Dr. Ed Hindson’s book “Revelation: Unlocking the Future.”

— The Grapes of Wrath, Continued…

The “wine press of the wrath of God” symbolizes the severity of this judgment. Its location is “without [outside] the city,” indicating that the last great conflict will be near, but not in, Jerusalem. In Revelation 16:16, John will locate the final battle at Armageddon, some fifty miles northwest of Jerusalem.

The Old Testament prophets also predicted the final battle in the Valley of Jehoshaphat, which is adjacent to Jerusalem and the Kidron Valley. The combined biblical picture of the final conflict portrays a massive invasion of Israel by the forces of the Antichrist. The invading army will overrun the nation from the north and the south all the way to the outskirts of Jerusalem.

OCCUPY TILL I COME: We are continuing our journey through the book, “Coming Events and Present Duties,” by J.C. Ryle. This section is titled, “Occupy Until I Come!” (Part 11) based on the parable of the nobleman who went away and left talents for his servants to use in his absence in Luke 19:11-13. J.C. Ryle writes:

When, how, where, in what manner, all these things shall be — we cannot say particularly! Enough for us to know that they shall be. The Lord Jesus has undertaken to do them — and they shall be performed: the Lord Jesus waits for the time appointed by the Father — and then they shall all come to pass. As surely as He was born of a pure virgin, and lived on earth thirty three years as a servant — so surely He shall come with clouds in glory, and reign on the earth as a king.

PROPHECY HEADLINES: End times group predicts end of world on July 29th; N. Korea practices blowing up South Korean airports; Iran arrests 40 members of terrorist group

PROPHECY BOOTCAMP: Our topic for today is titled “The Winepress of the Wrath of God (Part 6)” from Dr. Ed Hindson’s book “Revelation: Unlocking the Future.”

The messages of the three angels are followed by a comment about the “perseverance of the saints” and a voice from heaven commanding John to write. It is difficult to tell who speaks in Rev. 14:12, but it appears to be a spontaneous and unsolicited remark by John himself, although it could be part of the third angel’s message. The comment involves a threefold observation regarding:

1. The perseverance of the saints
2. Those who keep the commandments of God
3. Those who have their faith in Jesus

OCCUPY TILL I COME: We are continuing our journey through the book, “Coming Events and Present Duties,” by J.C. Ryle. This section is titled, “Occupy Until I Come!” (Part 9) based on the parable of the nobleman who went away and left talents for his servants to use in his absence in Luke 19:11-13. J.C. Ryle writes:

The Lord Jesus during the present dispensation is like David between the time of His anointing and Saul’s death. He has the promise of the kingdom — but He has not yet received the crown and throne.

He is followed by a few, and those often neither great nor wise — but they are a faithful people. He is persecuted by His enemies, and ofttimes driven into the wilderness — and yet His party is never quite destroyed. But He has none of the visible signs of the kingdom at present — no earthly glory, majesty, greatness, obedience. The vast majority of mankind see no beauty in Him — they will not have this man to reign over them. His people are not honored for their Master’s sake: they walk the earth like princes in disguise. His kingdom is not yet come — His will is not yet done on earth excepting by a little flock. It is not the day of “His power.” The Lord Jesus is biding His time.

The prophetic passage of Scripture that we are looking at today is Isaiah 66:7-9

Our second coming quote for today is from I.M. Haldeman. He said, “The Spirit seems to exhaust human vocabulary in the vain endeavor to proclaim [the coming of Christ]. The noblest prose and the most exalted poetry the world ever knew break like waves upon the shore and at times seem to turn into mist in utter helplessness to express the coming glory. The stars of Heaven pale, break loose from their orbits and fall, the waves of the sea roar, the floods lift up their voices, the mountains bow down at His presence, the trees of the wood clap their hands, and every voice in Heaven and earth cries out: ‘Behold, He cometh! He cometh!—the King!’ …Your ears are full of the footsteps of the coming King.”

The prophetic passage of Scripture that we are looking at today is Isaiah 66:1-6

Our second coming quote for today is from W.J. Grier. He said, “The New Testament teaches that our Lord will come in person. While the Scriptures refer to great events in the history of the individual, like death, and great events in the history of the Church, like the outpouring of the Spirit at Pentecost and the destruction of Jerusalem, as comings of Christ, yet they also declare in no uncertain language that there is to be a final triumphant return of Christ towering far above these other partial and typical comings. ‘The Lord himself shall descend from heaven.'”
