PROPHECY BOOTCAMP: Our topic for today is titled “Hell on Earth (Part 5)” from Dr. Ed Hindson’s book “Revelation: Unlocking the Future.”

One of the objections often raised against viewing the two witnesses as two literal prophets is that the whole world (people, kindreds, tongues, and nations) will “look at their dead bodies for three and a half days” lying in the street. The unbelieving world will rejoice in their martyrdom and send gifts to one another. Their deaths will result in worldwide holiday festivities.
Previous generations could not imagine how this could literally happen. Today, we know exactly how it could happen: live satellite television transmission. We can see televised pictures instantly all over the planet because of satellite communications. It happens every night on the national news! That fact alone ought to get our attention about how close we are to the end. A camera crew could easily film the deaths of these two witnesses and then continue to show televised updates throughout the next three and a half days. Televised pictures can be transmitted in seconds from Jerusalem to New York, Tokyo, London, Moscow, and the entire world.
OCCUPY TILL I COME: We are continuing our journey through the book, “Coming Events and Present Duties,” by J.C. Ryle. This section is titled, “Watch” (Part 28) based on the parable of the foolish and wise virgins in Matthew 25:1-13. J.C. Ryle writes:
As it was in the days of Cain and Abel — as it was in the days of Isaac and Ishmael, even so it is now. “Those who are born after the flesh will persecute those that are born after the Spirit.”The Cross of Christ will always bring reproach with it! As the Jews hated Christ — so the world hates Christians. As the Head was bruised — so also the members will be. As contempt was poured on the Master — so it will be also on the disciples. In short, if a man will become a decided evangelical Christian, he must “count the cost” — and make up his mind to lose the world’s favor. In a word, he must be content to be thought by many little better than a fool!
