PROPHECY BOOTCAMP: Our topic for today is titled “Worthy is the Lamb!” (Part 3) from Dr. Ed Hindson’s book “Revelation: Unlocking the Future”.

Hearing the announcement that the “Lion from the tribe of Judah” can open the book, John brushes his tears aside and turns to see the Deliverer. Bruce Metzger writes, “What follows is altogether unexpected. John looked to see the Lion, the king of beasts. and instead he sees a Lamb with the marks of slaughter upon it!”

The symbolism of the lamb emphasizes the ultimate triumph of the sacrificial death of Christ. The symbol of the lamb appears twenty-eight times in the Revelation. His death is the only atonement for sins that God the Father will accept. The issue is not whether your religion satisfies you, but whether it satisfies God! And God is only satisfied with the blood atonement of Jesus Christ. His Son. That sacrifice alone can pay the sinner’s debt, satisfy the demands of divine justice, and set the sinner free.
