Iran says it will attack inside Iraq if threatened by ISIS (Second Coming Watch Update #513)

1. Iran has threatened that it will attack the Islamic State inside Iraq should the militants approach the border.

2. Turkish tanks and armoured vehicles took up positions on a hill overlooking the besieged Syrian border town of Kobani on Monday as shelling by Islamic State insurgents intensified and stray fire hit Turkish soil.

3. At least eight people were killed by a 5.1 magnitude earthquake that hit rural southern Peru over the weekend. The quake destroyed 15 adobe-style houses and left 75 people homeless.

4. Israel has accused Iran of using its Parchin military base as the site for secret tests of technology that could be used only for detonating a nuclear weapon.

5. The Islamic State is moving toward an alliance with the Nusra Front, the largest Al-Qaida affiliate in Syria, as a U.S.-led coalition continues strikes against ISIS positions in the northeastern part of the country.

The Bible says in Matthew 24:29-30: “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”

Our second coming quote for today is from John Trapp. He said, “This is pinned as a badge to the sleeve of every true believer—that he looks for and longs for Christ’s coming to judgement.”

PROPHECY BOOTCAMP: “The Best is Yet to Come (Part 2)” from Dr. Tim LaHaye

After the Millennial Kingdom and the Great White Throne Judgment, everything will be made new, harkening back to the purity of creation. This is the city our Lord has been building for the past 2,000 years for His believers. A bride is at her most beautiful on her wedding day, suggesting that we will be dazzled by the brightness and beauty of His city.

Revelation 21:16-18 says, “And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel. And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.“

This city will be like a mountain that measures 1,500 miles in all directions, which is more than enough room for the multitudes of people throughout the ages from Adam until the conclusion of the millennium who have chosen to believe in Christ. My great friend and colleague for 35 years, the late Dr. Henry Morris, was a mathematical genius. He computed that there would be enough room in the heavenly city to provide one third of an acre each for more than 20 billion people—plenty of space for the mansions Jesus promised to build for us all. And that’s just the capital city! We will have access to the rest of the new world as well. It is simply beyond comprehension.

The Bible says in Revelation 19:19-20: “And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.”

PROPHECY BOOTCAMP: “The Best is Yet to Come (Part 1)” from Dr. Tim LaHaye

It has fascinated me for quite awhile that the world accuses Christians of believing in a “doomsday future.” As someone once said to me, “Your picture of the future is so pessimistic!” This puzzles me, because this is true only for those who reject God’s remedy for sin — the sacrificial gift of His only begotten Son.

I would agree that the future does look pretty grim for those who want nothing to do with Christ. These folks will be left behind when the rapture occurs. They must then go through the worst seven years this world will ever witness, and if they survive, they will be cast into Hades for their rejection of God’s pardon. After 1,000 years, they will stand before Jesus Christ at the Great White Throne Judgment before being cast alive into the outer darkness. This is what awaits all those who reject Jesus’ sacrifice for their sins.

But for the multitudes of people throughout the church age who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, the future is incredibly beautiful. It will be better than anything we’ve experienced or imagined here on earth. Immediately after Jesus calls to us in the rapture, we will meet our loved ones in the air for an unimaginable reunion. Then it’s on to meet our blessed Lord — “and thus we shall always be with the Lord.” After receiving rewards for any good works we have done, we will return with the Lord to the earth at the conclusion of the Tribulation to rule with Him throughout His 1,000-year millennial kingdom. And finally, we will share in the indescribable blessings of heaven for all eternity. Pessimistic? I don’t think so. We have not been left in ignorance regarding what heaven will be like. Consider Revelation 21:1-4:

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

Pakistan establishing sea-based nuclear capability (Second Coming Watch Update #511)

[audio http://www.buzzsprout.com/4994/207382-pakistan-establishing-sea-based-nuclear-capability-second-coming-watch-update-511.mp3]

1. In one of the world’s most volatile regions, Pakistan is advancing toward a sea-based missile capability and expanding its interest in tactical nuclear warheads. The development of nuclear missiles that could be fired from a ship or submarine would give Pakistan “second-strike” capability if a catastrophic nuclear exchange destroyed all land-based weapons.

2. Tony Blair has urged Great Britain not to rule out sending ground troops to combat the Islamic State, arguing that air strikes are not enough to defeat the terrorist group.

3. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has predicted that Liberia and Sierra Leone could have a staggering 550,000 to 1.4 million cases of Ebola by late January 2015.

4. Iran says it is ready to work with the United States and its allies to stop Islamic State militants, but would like more flexibility on Iran’s uranium enrichment program in exchange.

5. Both government troops and pro-Russian rebels began withdrawing heavy artillery in eastern Ukraine, a significant step toward implementing an effective cease-fire in the region.

The Bible says in Matthew 24:23-24: “If any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

Our second coming quote for today is from John R.W. Stott. He said, “He who came in humility and shame will return in spectacular magnificence.”

Breaking Prophecy News; The Great White Throne Judgment, Part 13 (The Prophet Daniel’s Report #482)

PROPHECY HEADLINES: Pentagon says Syria airstrikes broke up ‘imminent’ terror attack | Syrian airstrikes bolsters Obama’s hand at UN | WHO: 20,000 Ebola infections by early November | Israel shoots down Syrian jet | Over 100 Christians arrested at house church in China

The Bible says in Revelation 19:17-18: “And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all [men, both] free and bond, both small and great.”

PROPHECY BOOTCAMP: “The Great White Throne Judgment (Part 13)” from Dr. Tim LaHaye

Those who do not have their name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (which guarantees that their name remains in the Book of Life) will, according to Revelation 20:15, be “cast into the lake of fire,” the final dwelling place of the unbelieving dead. It is the hell that Revelation 20:14 calls “the second death.”

“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.“

Sinners die once, are kept in torment until the end of the 1,000 years, and are then resurrected to the Great White Throne Judgment, where the Christ they refused to accept as Savior determines the degree or intensity of their eternal punishment. He then will banish them to the lake of fire — for eternity. This will not be a pretty sight — nor is it necessary, either! For the Bible says, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” One of the clearest offers of salvation in all the Bible came from our Lord Jesus Christ Himself: “He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

Make that right choice today!
