The Rise of the Antichrist, Part 5 (The Prophet Daniel’s Report #724)

Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is report #724.

My name is Daniel Whyte III here to remind you that Jesus Christ is coming back soon and that you need to be prepared. This broadcast is not about predictions, nor is it about setting dates as some foolishly have done, however it is all about preparation.

First, today, let’s look at some Signs of His Coming in the news.

The disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3, “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus Christ gave them (and us) clear signs that show us when we can begin to expect to see the Coming of the Lord and the end of the world. Looking at world events through the lens of the Word of God, let’s look at some headlines from today’s news that point to the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

First, today, under the Sign category of PESTILENCES & FATAL EPIDEMIC DISEASES — According to a Johns Hopkins University tally, the global death toll attributed to the novel coronavirus hit 2,600,063 early Tuesday. In the year since the virus was first identified in Wuhan [WOO-HAHN], China, it has infected at least 117,148,248 people worldwide.

Second, today, under the Sign category of EARTHQUAKES IN DIVERS PLACES — According to Yahoo News, Southwest Iceland is currently experiencing a “swarm” of seismic activity, with more than 20,000 earthquakes recorded since February 24, according to the the Icelandic Meteorological Office. The office said magma movements are likely the cause of the current surge on the Reykjanes Peninsula, raising fears of a volcanic eruption. There have been more than 3,100 earthquakes on the peninsula in the past 48 hours alone, according to the office. At least 63 of them had a magnitude of 3 or higher. A magnitude 3 earthquake can be felt, but rarely causes damage; as the number increases, the earthquakes become more dangerous. Similar bursts of seismic activity in the country have previously caused volcanic eruptions.

Third, today, under the Sign category of WARS AND RUMOURS OF WARS — According to the Jerusalem Post, India’s central counterterrorism agencies have concluded that a local Shi’ite terrorist cell backed by Iran’s IRGC Quds Force was behind the attack that targeted the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi late January. Evidence collected at the scene of the blast pointed to Iran’s involvement early on in the investigation. A handwritten note in English found at the blast site was addressed to Israel’s Ambassador to India Ron Malka, warning Israel of revenge for the assassinations of Iran’s Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani in January 2020 and Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh in November 2020. CCTV footage of the blast site revealed that a cab had dropped two people near the embassy shortly before the bomb went off. According to India’s counterterrorism experts who led the investigation, the attack was part of Iran’s asymmetric warfare campaign waged against Israel.

Now, it’s time for Prophecy Bootcamp.

Prophecy Bootcamp is where we deal with the basics of prophecy, the Second Coming of Christ, and what will happen in the future according to the Bible. Our aim here is not to make predictions but to help you get prepared by understanding how things will unfold in the end times.

Our topic for today is titled “The Rise of the Antichrist, Part 5: Titles of the Antichrist, Part 2” from Tim LaHaye and Ed Hindson’s book “The Essential Guide to Bible Prophecy.”

The abomination. “When you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place…”.

The little horn. “I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and amouth speaking pompous words”.

The insolent king. “In the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors have reached their fullness, a king shall arise, having fierce features”.

The ruler who is to come. “After the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off…and the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary”.

Lord willing, we will continue looking at this topic in our next podcast.

In closing, let’s consider what God wants you and I to do in light of His Second Coming.

Jesus Christ said in Luke 19:13 to “Occupy till I come.” In light of that, we are continuing our journey through the book, “Coming Events and Present Duties,” by J.C. Ryle. It is a collection of what he called “prophetic tracts” that focus on the believer’s duty in light of the signs which point to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

This section is titled, “Scattered Israel to be Gathered” (Part 24). J.C. Ryle writes:

Now is there anything contrary to this gathering in the New Testament? I cannot find a single word. So far from this being the case, I find a chapter in the Epistle to the Romans where the subject is fully discussed. An inspired Apostle speaks there of Israel being once more “received” into God’s favour, “graffed in,” and “saved.”

Is there anything impossible in this gathering of Israel? Who talks of impossibilities? If an infidel, let him explain the present condition and past history of Israel, if he can; and when he has solved that mighty problem, we may listen to him. If a Christian, let him think again before he talks of anything being impossible with God. Let him read the vision of the dry bones in Ezekiel, and mark to whom that vision applies. Let him look to his own conversion and resurrection from the death of trespasses and sins, and recall the unworthy thought that anything is too hard for the Lord.

If the Lord tarries His Coming and we live, we will continue looking at this topic in our next broadcast/podcast.

CLOSING PRAYER
…….

Remember the words of the Lord in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

If you are not ready for the Return of Jesus Christ, may I encourage you to get ready today by receiving Him as your Savior. Here is how:

First, accept the fact that you are a sinner, and that you have broken God’s law. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Second, accept the fact that there is a penalty for sin. The Bible states in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death…” Third, accept the fact that you are on the road to hell. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 10:28: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Also, the Bible states in Revelation 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Now that is bad news, but here is the good news. Jesus Christ said in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead by the power of God for you so that you can live eternally with Him. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart today, and He will.

Romans 10:9-13 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. Let us join in the prayer of John the Revelator — “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” God bless you.

The Rise of the Antichrist, Part 4 (The Prophet Daniel’s Report #723)

Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is report #723.

My name is Daniel Whyte III here to remind you that Jesus Christ is coming back soon and that you need to be prepared. This broadcast is not about predictions, nor is it about setting dates as some foolishly have done, however it is all about preparation.

First, today, under the Sign category of PESTILENCES & FATAL EPIDEMIC DISEASES — According to a Johns Hopkins University tally, the global death toll attributed to the novel coronavirus hit 2,537,616 early Tuesday. In the year since the virus was first identified in Wuhan [WOO-HAHN], China, it has infected at least 114,420,213 people worldwide.

Second, today, under the Sign category of TURMOIL IN THE MIDDLE EAST — According to BBC News, Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has blamed Iran for an explosion that damaged an Israeli-owned ship in the Gulf of Oman last week. The MV Helios Ray, a vehicle carrier, was travelling from Saudi Arabia to Singapore when an explosion reportedly ripped holes in both sides of its hull. Netanyahu told Kan Radio, without providing any evidence, “This was indeed an operation by Iran. That is clear.” Iran’s foreign ministry said it strongly rejected the accusation. Netanyahu’s remarks were broadcast hours after a monitoring group reported that Israeli missile strikes had targeted Iranian forces in Syria. It is not yet clear what caused the explosion that damaged the Helios Ray on Thursday night. But the ship’s owner said that it left two holes in the hull about ft in diameter, just above the waterline.

Third, today, under the Sign category of WARS AND RUMOURS OF WARS — According to the Jerusalem Post, the U.S. Air Force said on Friday B-1 bombers flew the first Bomber Task Force mission since deployment to Norway, a show of force near Russian naval bases. The two bombers arrived in Norway earlier this week. Support aircraft and over 200 Air Force personnel arrived at Orland Air Base, where Norway’s F-35 fleet is also stationed, in the first week of February. On Friday, the planes “conducted tactical missions with Norwegian F-35 and Norwegian naval assets in the Norwegian Sea.” The sea, an arm of the Atlantic Ocean in the Arctic area, is adjacent to the Barents Sea, waters regarded as “Russia’s Naval Backyard” and the home of the Russian Northern Fleet’s ballistic missile submarines.

Our topic for today is titled “The Rise of the Antichrist, Part 4: Titles of the Antichrist, Part 1” from Tim LaHaye and Ed Hindson’s book “The Essential Guide to Bible Prophecy.”

The Antichrist is known by several names and titles in the Bible. Each one provides a unique glimpse of his diabolical character and nature. Together, they present a portrait that leaves little to the imagination.

A beast. “I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name” (Revelation 13:1).

The man of sin. “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition” (2 Thessalonians 2:3).

The lawless one. “The lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will consume with the breath of his mouth and destroy with the brightness of his coming” (2 Thessalonians 2:8).

I must ask you to believe that the subject admits of being drawn out at far greater length than the limits of this address allow. I am resolved, however, not to encumber it by entering on topics of comparatively subordinate importance. I will not complicate it by dwelling on the manner in which Israel shall be gathered, and the particular events which shall accompany the gathering. I might show you by Scriptural evidence that the Jews will probably first be gathered in an unconverted state, though humbled: and will afterwards be taught to look to Him whom they have pierced, through much tribulation.–I might speak of the future glory of Jerusalem, after the Jews are restored, and the last siege which it shall endure, as described by Zechariah and by our Lord Jesus Christ.–But I forbear. I will not travel beyond the bounds of my text. I think it better to present its weighty promise to you in its naked simplicity. “Israel scattered shall yet be gathered.” This is the future prospect of the Jew.

If the Lord tarries His Coming and we live, we will continue looking at this topic in our next broadcast/podcast.

The Rise of the Antichrist, Part 3 (The Prophet Daniel’s Report #722)

Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is report #722.

First, today, under the Sign category of PESTILENCES & FATAL EPIDEMIC DISEASES — According to a Johns Hopkins University tally, the global death toll attributed to the novel coronavirus hit 2,474,112 early Tuesday. In the year since the virus was first identified in Wuhan [WOO-HAHN], China, it has infected at least 111,720,297 people worldwide.

Second, today, under the Sign category of RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF ISRAEL — According to the Jerusalem Post, Equatorial Guinea [GI-NEE] plans to relocate its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, the first such pledge of its kind under the new administration of US President Joe Biden. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with Equatorial Guinea’s [GI-NEE’s] President Teodoro Mbasogo [TAY-OH-DOOR-OH M-BAH-SOH-GOH] on Friday, after which his office released a statement. Netanyahu said he welcomed the trend to relocate embassies to Jerusalem, and noted in particular that this pledge was part of Israel’s growing ties with Africa. Israel is returning to Africa and Africa is returning to Israel, Netanyahu told Mbasogo [M-BAH-SOH-GOH] . The president said that the whole of Africa welcomed Israel with open arms. To date the only two countries with embassies in Jerusalem are the United States and Guatemala. Until 2018, all embassies were located in the Tel Aviv area as a sign of the international community’s rejection of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Third, today, under the Sign category of WARS AND RUMOURS OF WARS — According to the Jerusalem Post, Defense Minister Benny Gantz said on Thursday if Israel has to fight with Hezbollah, “the ground in Lebanon will tremble, and the terrorist organization will be severely hit.” Gantz said in a speech commemorating soldiers whose burial place is unknown, “Even now, in spite of the fact that Israel has the strongest armed forces in the Middle East,” there are still elements that are threatening the country with “days of battle.” Gantz said, “And if there will be days of battle on the different fronts, it will be difficult for the Israeli home front, but it would be considerably more difficult for our enemies. This is true in particular of Hezbollah and Hamas, both of whom are violating international law by developing offensive capacity for operation within civilian populations. Facing that type of threat, the IDF is prepared to use whatever force necessary. Hezbollah would take a serious hit, and Lebanon would feel it.” Gantz’s comments come as the IDF intelligence assessed in its annual prediction of 2021 that Hezbollah is deterred and will not drag Israel into a war, but it will try to initiate “days of battle” in which the combat is limited.

Our topic for today is titled “The Rise of the Antichrist, Part 3: The Spirit of the Antichrist, Part 2” from Tim LaHaye and Ed Hindson’s book “The Essential Guide to Bible Prophecy.”

“Antichrist” in the NIV

indicates that the end is near: “You have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour” (1 John 2:18).

denies the Father and the Son: “Such a person is the antichrist–denying the Father and the Son” (1 John 2:22).

does not acknowledge Jesus: “Every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist” (1 John 4:3).

does not acknowledge Jesus came to earth in human form: “Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist” (2 John 7).

(10) Hear, lastly, what Jeremiah says: “For, lo, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the Lord: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.”–“For I am with thee, saith the Lord, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee; but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.”

I place these texts before you without note or comment. I only wish that they may be weighed and examined, and the several chapters from which they are taken read carefully. I believe there is one common remark that applies to them all. They all point to a time which is yet future. They all predict the final gathering of the Jewish nation from the four quarters of the globe, and their restoration to their own land.

If the Lord tarries His Coming and we live, we will continue looking at this topic in our next broadcast/podcast.

The Rise of the Antichrist, Part 2: (The Prophet Daniel’s Report #721)

Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is report #721.

First, today, under the Sign category of PESTILENCES & FATAL EPIDEMIC DISEASES — According to a Johns Hopkins University tally, the global death toll attributed to the novel coronavirus hit 2,407,537 early Tuesday. In the seven months since the virus was first identified in Wuhan [WOO-HAHN], China, it has infected at least 109,140,617 people worldwide.

Second, today, under the Sign category of TURMOIL IN THE MIDDLE EAST — According to the New York Post, according to a new report Iran’s chief nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh [MOH-SEHN FAH-KREE-ZAH-DEH] was assassinated by a team of Israeli spies who used a 1-ton, remote-controlled machine gun that had been smuggled into the country in pieces. The team of over 20 Mossad agents, some of whom were Iranian nationals, spent eight months gathering surveillance and planning the hit before the weapon pumped 13 bullets into Fakhrizadeh [FAH-KREE-ZAH-DEH] on Nov. 27 as he was driven from Tehran to his residence. According to London’s Jewish Chronicle, the gun was so accurate that neither the 59-year-old’s wife nor any of his 12 bodyguards were hurt in the attack in Absard, which reported that the weapon was fired remotely from a Nissan pickup. The heavy gun also included a bomb, which destroyed the evidence after the strike. Israeli analysts have concluded that the death of the so-called “father” of the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program has extended the period of time it would take Tehran to achieve a bomb from about 3 and a half months to at least two years, and the Iranian regime has secretly assessed that it will take six years before a replacement for Fakhrizadeh [FAH-KREE-ZAH-DEH] becomes fully operational.

Third, today, under the Sign category of EARTHQUAKES IN DIVERS PLACES — According to NBC News, A magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck Saturday off the coast of Japan’s Fukushima prefecture, which was home to one of the world’s worst nuclear disasters almost a decade ago. The Japan Meteorological Agency said the quake — which it initially said had a magnitude of 7.1 — struck at 11:08 p.m. local time at a depth of 34 miles. It said fourteen aftershocks were recorded and a tsunami warning had not been issued. The quake was also felt in Japan’s capital, Tokyo.

Our topic for today is titled “The Rise of the Antichrist, Part 2: The Spirit of the Antichrist, Part 1” from Tim LaHaye and Ed Hindson’s book “The Essential Guide to Bible Prophecy.”

We can be certain that in the broadest sense, “the spirit of Antichrist” is already at work. It does everything it can to undermine, deny, and reject the truth about Jesus Christ. That spirit has been here since the first century, actively opposing the work of Christ on earth.

From the very beginning of the Christian era, believers were convinced that a world ruler would eventually come on the scene who was the embodiment of Satan. Revelation 12-13 presents an unholy trinity that aligns Satan, the Antichrist, and the False Prophet against the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Thus, the real power behind the Antichrist is Satan. The “father of lies” is the perpetrator of the human manifestation of the world’s greatest liar and the source of the lie that will condemn multitudes to divine judgment.

And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the Lord. I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased. And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again. I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them.”

The Rise of the Antichrist, Part 1 (The Prophet Daniel’s Report #720)

Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is report #720.

First, today, under the Sign category of PESTILENCES & FATAL EPIDEMIC DISEASES — According to a Johns Hopkins University tally, the global death toll attributed to the novel coronavirus hit 2,324,916 early Tuesday. In the seven months since the virus was first identified in Wuhan [WOO-HAHN], China, it has infected at least 106,460,230 people worldwide.

Second, today, under the Sign category of HOSTILITY TOWARD ISRAEL — According to Israel National News, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday responded to the International Criminal Court’s decision to investigate Israel for alleged “war crimes.” In a statement, Netanyahu said: “When the ICC investigates Israel for fake war crimes – this is pure anti-Semitism. The court established to prevent atrocities like the Nazi Holocaust against the Jewish people is now targeting the one state of the Jewish people. First, the ICC outrageously claims that when Jews live in our homeland, this is a war crime. Second, it claims that when democratic Israel defends itself against terrorists who murder our children and rocket our cities – we are committing another war crime. Yet the ICC refuses to investigate brutal dictatorships like Iran and Syria, who commit horrific atrocities almost daily.” He concluded, “As Prime Minister of Israel, I can assure you this: We will fight this perversion of justice with all our might!”

Third, today, under the Sign category of EARTHQUAKES IN DIVERS PLACES — According to Reuters, A strong earthquake with 6.3 magnitude struck the southern province of Davao del Sur [DAH-VAY-OH DEL SUR] in the Philippines on Sunday, with damage and aftershocks expected. The GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences earlier said the earthquake was initially recorded at magnitude 6 at a depth of 6.2 miles. The Philippines Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said it recorded the depth at 15 kilometres, adding that the earthquake was tectonic.

Our topic for today is titled “The Rise of the Antichrist, Part 1” from Tim LaHaye and Ed Hindson’s book “The Essential Guide to Bible Prophecy.”

The Bible clearly predicts the rise of the Antichrist in the end times. As civilization speeds toward its final destiny, the appearance of a powerful world ruler is inevitable. The key question facing our generation is whether he is already alive and moving into power. How can we know who he is? What clues are there to his identity? When will he make his move to control the global economy and world politics?

The Antichrist is a major end-times figure, but the term “Antichrist” appears only in 1 John 2:18-22; 4:3 and 2 John 7. The apostle John uses it both in the singular (“the Antichrist”) and in the plural (“many antichrists”). John indicates that his readers have already heard that the Antichrist is coming in the future. Then he surprises them by annnouncing that many antichrists have already come. He defines these lesser antichrists as liars who deny that Jesus is the Christ. In this sense, an antichrist is any false teacher who denies the person and word of Jesus Christ. Such teachers are truly anti (against) Christ.

In John 4:1-3, John warns us to test the spirits to make sure they are from God. Again, he warns that many false prophets have “gone out into the world.” These are the people who don’t acknowledge that Jesus is from God. In this sense, “the spirit of the Antichrist…is now already in the world.”

This section is titled, “Scattered Israel to be Gathered” (Part 20). J.C. Ryle writes:

(8) Hear what Zephaniah says: “Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. The Lord hath taken away thy judgments, He hath cast out thine enemy; the King of Israel, even the Lord, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more. In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack. The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing. I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden. Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame. At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the Lord.”

If the Lord tarries His Coming and we live, we will continue looking at this topic in our next broadcast/podcast.

In the seven months since the virus was first identified in Wuhan [WOO-HAHN], China, it has infected at least 104,043,420 people worldwide.

Second, today, under the Sign category of RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF ISRAEL — According to Ynet News, Israel and Kosovo signed an agreement to establish diplomatic relations in a virtual ceremony on Monday. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced in September the two countries agreed to establish diplomatic ties, with the Muslim-majority nation apparently planning to open its embassy in Jerusalem in a deal brokered by the Trump administration. Israeli Foreign Minister Ga-bi Ash-ke-na-zi and his Kosovo counterpart agreed on the virtual ceremony after the government closed Ben Gu-ri-on International Airport for all commercial flights in an effort to slow the spread of coronavirus. This is the first time that bilateral relations will be signed online but the move received the Justice Ministry approval.

Third, today, under the Sign category of WARS & RUMOURS OF WARS — According to Fox News, The head of U.S. Strategic Command is calling for military and federal leaders to reimagine methods of deterring aggressive action from rivals such as China and Russia, including the ‘real possibility’ of nuclear war. In a stark assessment of the current geopolitical landscape, STRATCOM Commander Adm. Charles Richard warned that China and Russia have ‘begun to aggressively challenge international norms’ in ‘ways not seen since the height of the Cold War.’ Richard cited a rise in cyberattacks and ‘threats in space,’ as well as their investment in advanced arms such as nuclear weapons.

Our topic for today is titled “Christ Will Be Our Judge, Part 14: Serving in the Kingdom, Part 2” from Tim LaHaye and Ed Hindson’s book “The Essential Guide to Bible Prophecy.”

Tragically, two of the greatest enemies of Christian service, selfishness and laziness, have cheated many of God’s people out of the rewards they could have received. Second John 8 warns us not to “lose those things we worked for.” Although we will not lose our salvation, it’s possible to forfeit our rewards by yielding to temptation. The Bible says we reap what we sow. This life serves as a time of planning; the next life includes the harvest. Just as the farmer must work hard in the spring in order to harvest a crop in the fall, we must dedicate ourselves to serving Christ now in order to receive our rewards in eternity. This truth should motivate believers to embrace a life of Christian service.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

The Bible makes it clear that God is keeping the records. All who serve the Lord will be rewarded for that service. In addressing this very issue, Jesus promised to reward every believer “according to his works” at the time of His second coming. We should not serve Christ merely to earn rewards, but He assures us that we will indeed be rewarded for our faithful service to Him.

Lord willing, we will continue looking at this topic in our next podcast.

And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God.”

(6) Hear what Obadiah says: “But upon Mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness: and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.”

(7) Hear what Micah says: “In that day, saith the Lord, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted: and I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the Lord shall reign over them in Mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.”

Third, today, under the Sign category of WARS & RUMOURS OF WARS — According to the Jerusalem Post, Indian and Chinese troops were involved in a face-off last week in a disputed stretch of their shared border in the eastern Himalayas. The two sides have been locked in a tense standoff since April in the western Himalayas and since then have bolstered forces all along the border. The Indian army said in a statement, “It is clarified that there was a minor face-off at Nakula [NAK-YU-LAH] area of North Sikkim [SI-KM] on 20 January 2021 and the same was resolved by local commanders as per established protocols.”

The millennial kingdom will be a time unlike any other in earth’s history. Christ Himself will establish a kingdom of peace and prosperity on a newly refurbished earth, the curse will be lifted from the land, and man’s inhumanity to his fellow man will be a thing of the past. Two kinds of people will live on the earth during this period–one natural and one supernatural. There will be those with natural bodies who survived the seven-year Tribulation (including Jews and those who helped the Jews). And there will be those in resurrected, immortal bodies who have come to the earth from heaven with Christ. Those of us in the resurrected bodies will help Jesus rule and reign over those who still possess natural bodies. And our role in helping Jesus Christ rule over this future kingdom will be determined by our actions of today.

In the seven months since the virus was first identified in Wuhan [WOO-HAHN], China, it has infected at least 96,103,144 people worldwide.

Second, today, under the Sign category of EARTHQUAKES IN DIVERS PLACES — According to Reuters, A powerful earthquake that struck Indonesia’s Sulawesi [SOO-LUH-WEI-SEE] island last week has killed at least 84 people and displaced more than 30,000, according to search and rescue agency data on Monday. The 6.2-magnitude quake, one of a string of disasters to hit Indonesia in recent weeks, struck West Sulawesi [SOO-LUH-WEI-SEE] early Friday morning, sending thousands fleeing from their beds. The quake caused significant damage to hundreds of homes, a mall, hospital and several hotels, and has been followed by more than 39 aftershocks. Aside from the earthquake, Indonesia suffered a plane crash on Jan. 9 that killed all 62 on board, a deadly landslide in Java, while the Merapi [MR-AA-PEE] and Semeru [SEH-MR-OO] volcanoes have also erupted in recent days.

Third, today, under the Sign category of FAMINES — According to BBC News, “Hundreds of thousands might starve to death” in Ethiopia’s Tigray [TEE-GREI] region, according to a government official quoted in a leaked copy of notes taken at a meeting of humanitarian workers. The government-run Tigray [TEE-GREI] Emergency Coordination Center is assessing needs following the conflict there. The federal government declared victory at the end of November. But sporadic fighting has continued and the UN has described the humanitarian situation as “severe”. It added that “reports indicate that food is not available or is extremely limited in markets, posing increased risks of malnutrition”. The ECC says that 4.5 million people need emergency food aid in Tigray [TEE-GREI]. The population of Tigray [TEE-GREI] is between 5-7 million. More than 50,000 have fled to neighbouring Sudan.

The judgment seat of Christ will be an exciting experience for the faithful servant of God, but it may be quite sobering for those who lived their lives on earth loving the things of the world to the exclusion of serving their Lord. As the Bible indicates, what we do here on earth will determine how we will serve the Lord during the millennial kingdom. In the final analysis, it is up to each one of us how we will spend those 1000 years.

I believe that the interpretation I have just given is in entire harmony with many other plain prophecies of Scripture. Time would fail me if I were to quote a tenth part of the texts which teach the same truth. Out of the sixteen prophets of the Old Testament, there are at least ten in which the gathering and restoration of the Jews in the latter days are expressly mentioned From each of these ten I will take one testimony. I say “one” testimony deliberately. I am anxious not to overload the subject with evidence. I would only remind the reader that the texts I am about to quote are only a small portion of the evidence that might be brought forward.

(1) Hear what Isaiah says: “It shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

Christ Will Be Our Judge, Part 11: The Believer’s Crowns, Part 6 (The Prophet Daniel’s Report #716)

Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is report #716.

First, today, under the Sign category of PESTILENCES & FATAL EPIDEMIC DISEASES — According to a Johns Hopkins University tally, the global death toll attributed to the novel coronavirus hit 1,952,520 early Tuesday. In the seven months since the virus was first identified in Wuhan [WOO-HAHN], China, it has infected at least 91,180,544 people worldwide.

Second, today, under the Sign category of RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF ISRAEL — According to Reuters, Sudan on Wednesday quietly signed on to the Abraham Accords, U.S.-brokered agreements which have ushered in public rapprochements between Israel and several Arab states. While Sudan and Israel announced they would normalize ties in October, Khartoum’s government had said a final decision would rest with a transitional parliament, which is yet to be formed. The UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco have already signed the accords, hailing the prospect of more immediate economic and diplomatic ties with Israel as groundbreaking. U.S. officials say they hope they will encourage the Palestinian Authority to return to negotiations with Israel but Palestinians say there can be no resolution of the core Israeli-Palestinian conflict unless they are involved.

Third, today, under the Sign category of EARTHQUAKES IN DIVERS PLACES — According to BNO News, A strong 6.7-magnitude earthquake has struck a lake along the Russia-Mongolia border, with shaking felt across the region. There were no immediate reports of injuries. The earthquake struck at 5:33 a.m. local time on Tuesday and was centered in Lake Khövsgöl [KHOVS-GHOL] in northern Mongolia, about 34 miles from the border with Russia, or 179 miles southwest of Irkutsk [EER-KOOTSK]. The U.S. Geological Survey put the earthquake’s magnitude at 6.7, down from an earlier estimate of 6.8. It said the quake struck at a depth of just 6 miles and was felt across the region on both sides of the border.

Our topic for today is titled “Christ Will Be Our Judge, Part 11: The Believer’s Crowns, Part 6” from Tim LaHaye and Ed Hindson’s book “The Essential Guide to Bible Prophecy.”

The crown of glory. First Peter 5:1,4 tells us about the elder’s crown, or as Peter called it, the crown of glory. There seems to be a special crown for those spiritual elders who share the Word of God. They could be ministers, Sunday school teachers, child evangelism teachers, or anyone else who teaches the Word of God faithfully to others. Such individuals rarely get adequate rewards in this life, but they certainly will be rewarded in the life to come.

Now that we have examined these five crowns, take a few minutes to consider which of these crowns you may receive. Don’t live a self-centered, unsurrendered life that will leave you with no crown at all on judgment day. Remember, we are in a race–a long one. Some Christians make good sprinters and serve the Lord well for only a few years. But a wise servant always keeps his body under discipline, lives a holy life year after year, wins as many people to Christ as possible, endures persecution when necessary, and teaches the Word of God at every opportunity. Such a Christian will not regret this kind of life on judgment day!

This section is titled, “Scattered Israel to be Gathered” (Part 16). J.C. Ryle writes:

However great the difficulties surrounding many parts of unfulfilled prophecy, two points appear to my own mind to stand out as plainly as if written by a sunbeam. One of these points is the second personal advent of our Lord Jesus Christ before the Millennium.–The other of these points is the future literal gathering of the Jewish nation, and their restoration to their own land.–I tell no man that these two truths are essential to salvation, and that he cannot be saved except he sees them with my eyes. But I tell any man that these truths appear to me distinctly set down in holy Scripture, and that the denial of them is as astonishing and incomprehensible to my own mind as the denial of the divinity of Christ.

Now what says our text about the future prospects of the Jews? It says, “He that scattered Israel will gather him.” That gathering is an event which plainly is yet to come. It could not apply in any sense to the ten tribes of Israel. They have never been gathered in any way. Their scattering has never come to an end.–It cannot be applied to the return of the remnant of Judah and Benjamin from the Babylonish captivity. The language of the text makes such an application impossible. The text is addressed to the Gentiles, “the nations.” The declaration they are commanded to make is, “to the isles of the sea.” In the days of the Babylonish captivity, the “nations” of the earth knew nothing of the Word of the Lord. They were sunk in darkness, and had not even heard the Lord’s name. If Jeremiah had told them to proclaim the return of the Jews from Babylon under such circumstances it would have been useless and absurd. There is but one fair and legitimate interpretation of the promise of the text. The event it declares is yet future. The “gathering” spoken of is a gathering which is yet to come.

If the Lord tarries His Coming and we live, we will continue looking at this topic in our next broadcast/podcast.

CLOSING PRAYER

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Christ Will Be Our Judge, Part 10: The Believer’s Crowns, Part 5 (The Prophet Daniel’s Report #715)

Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is report #715.

Looking at world events through the lens of the Word of God, let’s look at some headlines from today’s news that point to the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

First, today, under the Sign category of PESTILENCES & FATAL EPIDEMIC DISEASES — According to a Johns Hopkins University tally, the global death toll attributed to the novel coronavirus hit 1,862,126 early Tuesday. In the seven months since the virus was first identified in Wuhan [WOO-HAHN], China, it has infected at least 86,093,941 people worldwide.

Second, today, under the Sign category of WARS & RUMOURS OF WARS — According to The Guardian, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have seized a South Korean vessel “for polluting the Persian Gulf with chemicals” amid rising tensions between Iran and the US during the final days of Donald Trump’s presidency. Iranian news agencies published photos showing Revolutionary Guards speedboats escorting the tanker MT Hankuk Chemi [HAN-KOOK CHEH-MEE]and said the vessel’s crewmembers, including nationals of South Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam and Myanmar, had been detained. The tanker is being held at Iran’s Bandar Abbas [BUN-DAAR UHB-BAHS] port city. South Korea’s foreign ministry demanded the vessel’s immediate release and said South Korean forces stationed in the strait of Hormuz had been dispatched to the area. On Monday Iran resumed enriching uranium to up to 20% purity, a significant breach of the 2015 nuclear accord, reducing the time it would take to reach weapons-grade level. The move, which Iran notified the UN nuclear watchdog about last week, was one of many mentioned in a law passed by Iran’s parliament last month in response to the killing of the country’s top nuclear scientist, which Tehran has blamed on Israel.

Third, today, under the Sign category of TURMOIL IN THE MIDDLE EAST — According to The Jerusalem Post, Israeli media reported several suspects approached the Lebanese border on Friday evening and escaped after IDF troops fired warning shots to the air. The incident took place as tensions between Israel and Hezbollah are relatively high. The IDF expects that Hezbollah has not given up its intention of avenging the death of one of its operatives in Syria during a July airstrike attributed to Israel. At around the same time as the incident on the Lebanese border took place, another unusual incident happened in the southern part of the country, when a suspect reportedly infiltrated Israel from the Gaza Strip. The suspect was arrested by IDF troops and was interrogated.

Prophecy Bootcamp is where we deal with the basics of prophecy, the Second Coming of Christ, and what will happen in the future according to the Bible. Our aim here is not to make predictions but to help you get prepared by understanding how things will unfold in the end times.

Our topic for today is titled “Christ Will Be Our Judge, Part 10: The Believer’s Crowns, Part 5” from Tim LaHaye and Ed Hindson’s book “The Essential Guide to Bible Prophecy.”

The crown of rejoicing. First Thessalonians 2:19 indicates that there is a special soul-winner’s crown for those individuals who have led people to faith in Christ. Paul was such an individual. The people to whom he spoke were his “crown of rejoicing” because he had led them to Christ and taught them in the faith. Note that this is called the crown of rejoicing, keeping in mind that the angels in heaven rejoice when a sinner comes to faith. In the light of eternity, soul winning is the most important thing in the world. All our busy activity and the things of this earth pale into insignificance in the light of eternity, for in that day the things of the world will be burned up and forgotten, and only what’s done for Christ will last.

Almost every church has faithful individuals whose greatest joy is leading people to Christ. They are a minority. They faithfully come out on “visitation night” to share their faith. They witness to those with whom they work, and they pray for God to use them in sharing the gospel. My (Tim’s) mother, who went to be with the Lord several years ago, was like that. In fact, when I visited her one week before she died, she asked me to pray for two things: “That the Lord will call me home soon, and that He will use me to lead one more soul to Him before I go.” She had her chance three days before she died. While serving as a crisis pregnancy hotline counselor (which she often did), she spoke with a 17-year-old pregnant girl who called in desperation for help. The girl was phone-patched to my mother’s home, where, after an hour’s conversation, she prayed to receive Christ. Not a bad legacy for my mother to leave her children and grandchildren!

Lord willing, we will continue looking at this topic in our next podcast.

III. The third part of the text which I propose to dwell is, the future prospects of Israel.

In taking up this branch of my subject, I feel that I am entering on the region of unfulfilled prophecy. I desire to do so with all reverence, and with a deep sense of the many difficulties surrounding this department of theology, and the many diversities of opinion which prevail upon it. But the servant of God must call no man master on earth. Truth is never likely to be attained, unless all ministers of Christ speak out their opinions fully, freely, and unreservedly, and give men an opportunity of weighing what they teach.

If the Lord tarries His Coming and we live, we will continue looking at this topic in our next broadcast/podcast.
